ALL THE NEWS FOR HALLOWEEN 24

Halloween has always been a moment of expression and creativity in the fashion world, thanks to the possibility of bringing to life many interpretations that turn “villains” into real pop stars.
We can range from the most historic franchises like
Dracula and Frankenstein, to the 80s movies such as “Friday the 13th” and Chucky “Child’s Play”, from the most serious to the most ironic as Beetlejuice and Wednesday, to the more romantic ones like “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and Italian cults like Dylan Dog. Even Netflix, with TV series such as Stranger Things and Squid Game, is hinting at an alternative Halloween.
Whether it’s a streetwear brand or a fashion retailer, everyone can express their uniqueness, without being trivial.
The horror genre also dominates the movie industry, with the upcoming releases from autumn 2024: “Beetlejuice 2”, with the return of Tim Burton and Jenna Ortega, “Venom 3: The Last Dance”, celebrating Marvel’s villain in his battle against superheroes, and “M3gan 2.0”, starring a ruthless robotic killer doll, are all movies that are likely to inspire future trends.
In the past we have seen horror collections developed by luxury brands like Prada and Gucci, this year during the last Milano Fashion Week, GCDS brought to stage the main characters of horror movies, from Chucky to Dracula, with a collection that evokes the experience of watching a horror film: feeling traumatized but completely hypnotized by those gory images.
